Not for everyone..

Pres. Bush spoke about tackling the persistant rise of health care insurance costs:

However, according to a Bush administration official familiar with the proposals, the plan would offer a tax deduction to people who purchase their own coverage while some employer-provided health care benefits could be taxed.

But what about those families that are just getting by on what they are making? Will waiting until the end of the year really help those who need it the most? It seems the way that it is proposed discourages people from opting into their employer based health care.

The real problem is the cost of health care. How will this plan reduce the cost of the services provided at a hospital or clinic? It seems that the only ones who would benefit from this type of arrangement would be the Insurance companies because they continue to reap their premiums and the businesses that employ us that don't have to pay those premiums any longer.
